The mission of St. Peter’s/San Conrado Mission Outreach Program is to see and embrace Christ coming to us in the poor; to promote and restore the dignity and rights of the migrant, homeless, and economically vulnerable families.
Our mission is accomplished through the provision of food, clothing, hygiene products, emergency humanitarian assistance, referrals, and advocacy.
During 2017 we provided 42,550 meals, 9000 hygiene kits, served 2640 families through the food pantry and provided humanitarian relief to Texas and Puerto Rico Hurricane victims.
This biblical expression is what motivated St. Peter's/San Conrado parishioners to extend service to the newcomers at our Parish and our neighbors.
“I was a migrant and you welcomed me" (Mt. 25-35)
These words of Jesus, together with the parable of the Good Samaritan (Luke 10:25-37) have inspired for centuries many men and women to care for others.
Our Parish is located in Los Angeles inner city, a reality of great mobility with people in need of shelter, food and clothing. We cannot ignore them. They might not knock at your door, but they knock at ours!
We love to do this and more on your behalf. It is only through your generosity that we are able to continue our services. If you wish to help, please send your donation to St. Peter’s Italian Church. Please write "outreach” in the memo.
