Marriage

First Communion

Baptisms

The Sacrament of Marriage begins an intimate community of love and life, founded on a life-long covenant expressed through the marriage vows. The union of husband and wife symbolizes the permanent union of Christ and His church.

REQUIREMENTS FOR MARRIAGE

If you are not already a parishioner of Saint Peter's Italian Church, you need a letter from your parish granting permission to marry at our parish.

1. RECENT BAPTISM CERTIFICATES. These certificates should be obtained within six months prior to the wedding date, from the parishes where the groom and bride were baptized.

2. CERTIFICATES OF CONFIRMATION AND FIRST COMMUNION.

3. PRE-MARRIAGE CLASSES. The priest will give you a list of places and dates where you may take these required classes.

5. TESTIMONY OF TWO FAMILY WITNESSES.

6. WEDDING BANNS. Your pending wedding is announced for three Sundays in our church bulletin.

7. DETAILS OF YOUR WEDDING CEREMONY. The priest will discuss with you the regulations the church has regarding flowers, the organist, other music, church runner, photographer, video, etc.

Funeral

Funeral

Funerals are a time of grief, but also of great hope in the promise of Christ's Resurrection.

At St. Peter's Italian Church we work with families who have experienced the loss of a loved one to provide care and guidance in preparing for the funeral liturgy. If you have experienced a loss and would like to schedule a funeral at St. Peter, please contact the parish office at (323) 225-8119 to speak with our Priests.

Though funerals take priority over most parish functions, there are certain days or times on which it may not be possible to hold a funeral, such as specific Feast Days, during other liturgies, on Sundays, or celebrations of other Sacraments. Please contact the parish office for additional information.
